A daytrip adventure to discover a little piece of wetland paradise on foot, motorbike or bicycle. After our morning’s nature quest and lunch in the ranger station, we explore the fringes of the lake by kayak and paddle near the trees laden with water birds and fruit bats.
ATT was an Angorian Reservoir rebuilt under the Khmer Rouge and now a reserve for the rare and extremely elegant Sarus Crane and if we’re lucky the critically endangered Eld’s Deer.
A full day trip to explore the reservoir and view its wildlife and the nearby village where silk is woven under the stilted wooden houses.
Or an overnight homestay will allow us to combine a visit to ATT with the major and little visited Angkorian temple complex of Banteay Chmar.
